Silly!

Tonight I was at Brownies and when I got home Mike told me this story....

He was eating chips with Cole and told Cole to put the 'chip clip' on his nose. Cole said no and Mike said look, I will do it....and Cole said, yes, but I am smart!!!!!LOL

G.R.

Today the girls and I went to Grand Rapids for an appointment with the plastic surgeon. He said that Tori needs to go to an orthodontist ASAP and start working on moving her jaw to make it wider, and in January both girls will have surgery on their gum to form the gum completely. They will do a bone graft from their hip (ouch!) and make this bone part of their upper jaw/gum line. Pray for the girls that they have peace. They now understand everything the Dr is saying and on the way home they were both asking a lot of questions and getting very concerned. The only thing that was settling to them was that it was next Jan and not next week. Tori is however, excited to get braces (she doesn't realize that they hurt, even though I have told her several times). Keep them in your prayers. Thanks.

Mom's Getting Some Time!

Well, tonight was the last night of AWANA for the year. I love AWANA...and I am SOOO glad the kids are going, and love it, and are learning scripture, but it is nice to have another evening free. I am sure that we will find something to fill it up with....and pretty soon we will be just as busy. On a bragging note, Cole finished his whole book! He even got a ribbon.

I am getting excited...because soon I am going to Mackinaw Island for the annual retreat I go to! This year it is just me and one of my friends. It will be so relaxing...I am SO looking forward to it...some pampering, the best food ever, and rest and relaxation! Yea!

I also have planned to go down to Lansing and visit Jen. Kelli will be there too! Yea! Girls weekend! It always seems to me that all of the activities I attend all happen really close together, I won't do anything for months, and then WHAM! four things in the same month! Go figure.

I went on the ladies retreat with the church last Friday night. It was AWESOME! So much fun. And God really knows what he is doing......I sat next to some ladies that wanted to start a bible study, and they all work! Which is great because I do too, and it is hard to join studies because they all meet on weekdays :( which is great for the stay at home moms, but doesn't work with my schedule, so anyways, I am in a bible study! I have been praying for this for about a year, and I "happened" to sit next to these gals :) Thank you Lord!

Now when ever I take a picture of the kids they ask if I am going to put it on the computer! Silly kids!

MISSING! REWARD IF FOUND!

Morgan lost her 2 front teeth!

We Have Visitors!

We are watching the chicks while my Mom is out of town. They are one day old and so cute!

All Over the Place!

We are starting a new thing here. We have decided that we are not going to watch TV during the week. Only on the weekends. We started on Monday. It is really nice. The kids have been playing really nicely together, and they are actually playing with their toys. I have been getting to bed a little earlier, and reading a lot more. I hope it continues to be a positive thing, and that we don't miss it too much :)

We watched Cole's class fish over spring break. Luckily it made it back alive. When we watched the hermit crab over Thanksgiving break we killed it somehow. Cole was very proud that we delivered the same fish right back to his teacher :)

Work is going well. I like it that I work at a job that I can go there, do my job, and enjoy it, and leave it at work. I don't have to think about it when I am not there. I can enjoy my weekend, and days off, and not stress about work. I work with some really nice people, and the kiddos are so cute. And my boss is kind enough to give me Fridays off, which I need since the kids have a half day every Friday.

This week was kinda hard, getting back in the swing of things after having last week off for spring break.....and the really hard part is that it is snowing, I mean blizzarding.....and it is the middle of APRIL! Yuck! We even had church canceled last night because of the blizzard. Weird.

Tomorrow night is Tori's birthday party with her friends. She is so excited. She decided to postpone it since one of her best friends couldn't make it when we wanted to have it over spring break. She is a patient one, when it comes to some things.

Birthday Gift

Morgan bought a new bike with her birthday money. Tori is still saving because the one she wants is more money than she has. Morgan is so proud of her new bike.

Continued

Okay, so today they are being little angels. We went into town this afternoon, because the girls had some birthday money that they wanted to spend. The whole time we were in town they were so good. In Sam's they were even good (which was stop for me, not them). While we were in the checkout lane, the lady in front of me whispered to me, wondering if she could buy me kids a treat because she had been watching us shop and she thought they were very well behaved....I was like WOW! So, she gave me $4 to spend at the snack counter, and the kids were so proud of themselves! (this behavior is not always the case)

A Day In My Life....During Spring Break

I woke this morning to the sound of poker chips....when I came downstairs the kids were playing Tripoly :) When they saw me they said "we have a surprise" ...and I never know what to expect. They had made me breakfast; including eggs, toast, oatmeal, an apple, a choc chip cookie, a large glass of milk, and Spiderman CheezIts :) They had put it out on a try and served it to me. They then cleaned their rooms, cleaned up the game, and they had already cleaned up the breakfast mess. I was wondering where my kids were, and who brought these kids ; ) They then went upstairs and have been playing Legos TOGETHER in Cole's room for about an hour and a half. This is one of those days that I am so proud of my kids.

Of course, we will see how tomorrow goes ;) It could be a whole new world!
